There’s no URL, I have no idea what it’s selling, it was in plain text (i.e. it didn’t have a web beacon to probe for receipt) and… well… it is just plain weird.

After a little research, I discovered that this is an except from the "not so well known book" (at least by me) Jonathan Livingston Seagull. It is a fable about a seagull who is bored with the daily squabbles over food and seized by a passion for flight. He pushes himself, learning everything he can about flying, until finally his unwillingness to conform results in his expulsion from his clan (according to Wikipedia).
…..and that folks, is one to grow on.
